Restaurants Across Long Island Celebrate Oktoberfest
For two weeks each October people gather in Munich, Germany to celebrate Oktoberfest.
The traditions and celebrations attract a crowd there and the celebration itself has spread all over the world. If you're looking for a place to celebrate on Long Island check out one of these restaurants.

Dates: Now through October 11th
Celebration: Live music, German Specialties, Costumes and Oktoberfest beer. The live music schedule is as follows: Fri. Oct 2 - Die Spitzbaum 7-11pm; Sat. Oct 3 - John Weber Band 7-11pm; Sun. Oct 4 - Bud & Linda 1-5pm; Fri. Oct 9 - John Weber Band 7-11pm; Sat. Oct 10 - Kapella Fellas 7-11pm; and Sun. Oct - 11 Bud & Linda 1-5pm.

The Celebration: Oktoberfest prix fixe for $19.95 per person plus beverages, tax and gratuity. Select menu items include: Potato Soup; German Salad Trio, Sausages, Pan Sauerkraut, Mustard and Potatoes with Beer Sauce; Pan-Fried Pork Medallions with German Pasta and Wild Mushrooms; Marinated Beef Roast, Braised Red Cabbage Potato Pancakes, Apple Sauce, Sour Cream; Black Forest Cake; and Old Fashioned Bread Pudding.

The Celebration: For two weeks, the restaurant will offer German food specials, craft beers and German beers. There will also be a five-course Octoberfest Beer Dinner featuring Samuel Adams brews on Tuesday, October 20 at 7 p.m. with guest speaker Josh Havey from Samuel Adams. Reservations are required.

Dates: Friday, October 9 from 8:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.
Celebration: Oktoberfest party includes complete buffet plus unlimited imported German beer, wine and soda for $42 per person. Live music by The Spitzbuam and original Enzian dancers. Reservations required.

East Hampton, NY
Dates: Now through October 21st.
Celebration: $19 dinner specials and Oktoberfest beer specials will be offered daily beginning at 4 p.m. featuring $6 draught beers in a Rowdy Hall commemorative beer mug. Draught beers include Becks, Spaaten Oktoberfest and Paulaner Hefeweisen. Refills in the mug are $3. Select dinner specials include: Knockwurst, Bratwurst, Bockwurst with German potato salad, sauerkraut and mustard; Kassler Rippchen with braised red cabbage and grilled apples; and Black Forrest Cake with cherries, whipped cream and grated chocolate.

The Celebration: Four-course beer dinner featuring a tasting house with Double White, Altbier, and IPA paired with local oysters and cheese. The dinner will include Long Island duck, local fruits and vegetables. Cost is $60 per person and includes tax and tips. Reservations required.
