Food NewsJanuary 6, 2010 LIFoodies Offers Long Island Dining Deals Sent to Your Mobile PhoneAre your sick of carrying coupons? WordHampton Public Relations and Skoop! partner together to launch LIFoodies, a mobile program that allows user to receive Long Island dining discounts on their mobile phone. 
LIFoodies subscribers are notified instantly when a new dining coupon arrives by text message. To receive the exclusive deals subscribers must show the text message to waiter/waitress. Some deals may require subscribers to call the restaurant directly. To become a LIFoodies subscriber click here and enter phone number, zip code, and select the region to receive LIFoodies deals: Nassau county, Suffolk county, the East End or any combination of the three. Subscribers will start receiving deals around February 1st and will never receive more than two deals a week.Each discount will be unique to that restaurant, and is exclusive to LIFoodies subscribers. All deals will share a common trait: big savings, deep discounts, 'buy one get one free' offers, giveaways, reservations at 'impossible-to-get-restaurants', etc. LIFoodies does not charge its members to use the service. Standard text messaging rates apply. If mobile phone users would like to subscribe and they need a text messaging plan, check with phone providers.
