New Chef's Tasting Menu At The Garden City Hotel's Rein

The Garden City Hotel announces its first tasting menu from Chef Steven De Bruyn at signature restaurant REIN.

Garden City HotelHigh value and high quality are the intentions behind the master chef's $45 four-course prix fixe menu with wine pairings, for up to three courses, available for an additional $21 per person. The menu, which will be composed bi-weekly, will be previewed on Thursday, January 19 and then available nightly from Sunday to Thursday, beginning January 22.

"Chef Steven De Bruyn's new tasting menu at REIN affords everyone occasion to experience his true culinary mastery. Designed to be attractive in both price and presentation, the menu incorporates the finest and freshest organic, local and seasonal ingredients with examples of Chef's most beautiful dishes and important wine selections,"says REIN Restaurant Director Peter Pizarro.

CHEF'S FIRST TASTING MENU BEGINNING JANUARY 22

FIRST COURSE
*Salad of chickories and roasted beets, gratineed Vermont goat cheese, Meyer lemon gremolata and warm bacon vinaigrette

SECOND COURSE
*Tarragon-infused cod filet, wild mushrooms, Brussels sprouts leaves and sherry-purple mustard sauce

THIRD COURSE
*Red wine-braised short ribs with whole-wheat casarecce pasta, diced root vegetables, celery root coulis

FOURTH COURSE
*Warm chocolate croissant bread pudding, brandied cherries, pistachio ice cream
