Get Veg-centric At FeelGoods Cafe

FeelGoods Cafe, St. James' all-natural, health-focused eatery, encourages diners to get "veg-centric" in 2012.

FeelGoods CafeAt FeelGoods Cafe, which has a 70% vegetarian menu and vegan co-owners - Nicole Lawrence and Kathy Gerdes - who understand that many diners are not, the offerings include free-range, humanely-raised chicken breast and organic beef burgers in addition to creative selections made with vegetable, grain, and bean-based foods that will satisfy even the most skeptical of carnivores.

One of their most unique and exciting menu offerings are the EdgyBurgers: the Veggie Burgers with an Edge. Four years ago, they started with two basic burgers, the "Two Bean & Corn" and the "Classic Falafel". Then they experienced "BurgerMania", a period of time when they took every flavor combination imaginable and put it in burger form. Eventually, they whittled it down to about fifteen. Customers make meals with them and also buy them in bulk.

In addition to the EdgyBurgers, FeelGoods offers nearly one dozen vegetarian and vegan sides, from Toasted Almond & Raspberry Quinoa to Sesame-Ginger Kale to Tarragon-Dijon Asparagus & Chickpea Salad. They also feature many gluten-free options.

The benefits of a veg-centric diet include increasing one's life-span, a lower risk of cardiovascular disease, a reduction of the risks of cancer, increased bone strength, decreased toxins in the body, speeding up weight loss, and reducing overall environmental impact. By overwhelming their customers with even more vegetarian options in 2012, FeelGoods Cafe hopes to further improve the health of their customers.
