Cupid's Arrow Strikes Stonewalls Restaurant with Valentine's Party and Valentine's Day Dinner
Stonewalls Restaurant will celebrate Valentine's Day this year with a Valentine's Party and Valentine's Day dinner prix fixe.
The Valentine's Party on Friday, February 12 at 6:30 p.m. will include DJ and dancing, open bar, hot and cold hors d'oeuvres in the Grill Room, two courses with a buffet of pastries for $49.95 per person, plus tax and gratuity. The menu, which may change according to the market, is as follows:
Salad Wardorf Aux Noix with watercress, Granny Smith apple, walnut, light creamy mayonnaise
Heart of Romaine lettuce, ciabatta croutons, bacon, Parmesan tuile, egg, virgin olive oil, marinated anchovies, lemon vinaigrette
Vol-au-vent (puff pastry shell) filled with seafood champagne of scallops, shrimp, mushrooms, julienne of leek
Potage pistou, Provencal pesto
Baked Scottish salmon, lobster-tarragon sauce, chives whipped potato, broccoli
Crescent Farm duck breast au Poivre, Red Bliss potato, broccoli
Pork Chop charcutiere, white wine, julienne cornichons, Dijon mustard, demi-glace
Veal Escalopine Forestiere, mushrooms, shallots, Madeira wine sauce
On Valentine's Day, Sunday, February 14, a three-course prix fixe will be offered starting at $45 per person depending on selected entree from 5 p.m. Guests may begin their meal with a glass of Long Island Sparkling Pointe for $7. The holiday menu, which may also change according to the market, is as follows:
First Course
Baby arugula salad, avocado, roasted red pepper and goat cheese, basil vinaigrette
Vol-au-vent (puff pastry shell) filled with seafood champagne of scallops, shrimp, mushrooms, cordon of Nantua
Jumbo lump crab cake and red pepper coulis, braised fennel Provencal
Prince Edwards Island mussels, Mariner's style with shallots, white wine, parsley in light cream sauce
Classic lobster bisque
Second Course
Baked Pacific halibut in a hazelnut-mustard crust, calamata olives, fresh thyme, whipped potato and spinach $45
Jumbo white shrimp saute with plum tomatoes and basil, saffron risotto $45
Veal escalopine Forestiere (mushrooms and Madeira sauce), haricots verts and pomme darphin $45
Pennsylvania roast organic breast of chicken with morrels sauce, whipped potato and haricots verts $45
Colorado rack of lamb Provencal, mustard and fresh herbs crust, bouquetiere of vegetables $50
Grilled dry aged filet mignon, melted Gorgonzola, bordelaise, cream spinach and fingerlings potatoes $50
Dessert
Crepe filled with warm strawberry in Frangelico, strawberry gelato
Cold raspberry souffle, raspberry coulis and fresh mint
Chocolate mousse in a tulip shell, creme Chantilly
