Mondavi Family's Continuum Estate Wine Dinner At Mirabelle Restaurant
Mirabelle Restaurant at Three Village Inn presents a "Continuum Estate" dinner on Friday, March 19 at 6:00 p.m. featuring wines from the Mondavi family's new vineyard on Pritchard Hill in the Napa Valley as well as the first time release of the Continuum 2007.
 The four-course menu created by Chef Guy Reuge will be paired with the 2006 and 2007 vintages from Continuum Estate. Marcia Mondavi, a founding partner along with her brother Tim and late father Robert, will be speaking individually to guests about the new vineyard and its wines. Cost of the dinner is $150 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are required and seating is limited.
Continuum Estate:
Four generations of the Mondavi family have grown and produced wines among the world's finest. Cesare Mondavi was the first to bring wine to the table but it was his son Robert's passion for excellence which inspired both his family and the world. Since leaving Robert Mondavi Winery, Robert's children Tim and Marcia, along with their children, maintain the same continuum of excellence, innovation and tradition. At the Continuum Estate, the Mondavi's continue their ongoing passion for excellence in winegrowing by creating a singular wine recognized among the finest in the world. Continuum truly is the culmination of the Mondavi family's four generations in wine and Tim's four decades as a winegrower.
Continuum 2007:
The 2007 Continuum is a richly aromatic wine showing great balance and finesse on the palate. A unique blend, Continuum expresses the nerve and power of the Cabernet Sauvignon, the structure and exotic aromas of the Cabernet Franc and the depth and density of color of the Petit Verdot. The 2007 blend manifests this in firm yet supple tannins, a generous mid-palate with a long, nuanced finish making for a very textural, silky wine. Black currant, mulberry and rose petal aromas lead to cardamom, truffle and graphite flavors. A wine of exquisite power and elegance, the harmonious integration and balance make it delicious now, while assuring tremendous ageabilty.
