Guilty Pleasures on the East End
It’s a grueling season already for me and we’re just hittin’ July. So what gets me through triple the people, triple the traffic and triple the shopping lines? Answer: my guilty pleasure noshes at some of the East End’s less visible dining spots.
Here’s a quick list of likes:
Nabbing a sandia (watermelon juice) at La Fondita in Amagansett
The lobster roll at the new Bostwick’s Chowder House in East Hampton just east of the village
The lobster roll at The Clam Bar on the Napeague Stretch, the vibe at The Clam Bar
Fish (real cod) ‘n’ chips at Rowdy Hall in East Hampton Village
A quick stop at Carvel in Bridgehampton for a twist cone
The Turtle Crossing Quesadilla (!) in East Hampton (Jack cheese, caramelized onions with topped with mango and guacamole)
Burnt Ends at Townline BBQ in Sagaponack
A pit stop at B. Smith’s circular bar at LongWharf after art gallery grazing and people watching in Sag Harbor
A drink at The Beacon’s elevated bar in Sag overlooking the Harbor
The rigatoni Bolognese at Harbor Bistro in Springs!
Hmm, the more I think about it, I have luxury problems! Happy Eating and drive safely.
