Mike Francesa and Other Stars of Sports and Screen at Prime Restaurant
Stars of sport and screen dined this past weekend at the Gold Coast's Prime Restaurant at Huntington Harbor.
On Saturday afternoon, August 7, the day after interviewing A-Rod about his 600th home run, CBS WFAN Radio host Mike Francesa kept the Yankees top of mind even as he docked and dined at Prime Restaurant with wife and friends. During his weekend waterfront meal, while covering all the three base courses - shrimp cocktail, New York strip steak and strawberry shortcake - Francesa asked regularly for updates about the day's game. Chef Gregg Lauletta also presented the party with a surprise course, truffled risotto with maitake mushrooms. A fine day out indeed with the Yankees' win against the Boston Red Sox, 5:2.
Goal tenders then and now, New York Islanders' Garth Snow and Rick DiPietro, dined on Sunday, August 8 at Prime Restaurant. Snow, the New York Islanders' General Manager was a guest at a private party also attended by his team's goaltender DiPietro who dined healthily with a salad without dressing, filet mignon without potato but with double vegetables followed by a fruit plate dessert.
On Sunday evening, August 8, the weekend of his new box office opening, the film "Middle Man," James Caan dined with friends on the porch at Prime Restaurant. The acting heavy kept it light dining on a spinach salad and shrimp cocktail while sipping 12-year-old Glenlivit Scotch while friends savored selections of filet mignon, rib eye steaks and surf and turf along with the Huntington Harbor view.
