Red Plate/Blue Plate Special at Legal Sea Foods
With the debate between "red" and "blue" in full swing, Legal Sea Foods will offer two d-electable choices leading up to Election Day.
The "Blue Plate Special," a liberal offering of macadamia-coconut crusted mahi-mahi versus a "Red Plate Special," a pan-seared cod in a bourbon lobster cream sauce.
The famed Legal Sea Foods, a family-owned and operated restaurant group with four New York area restaurants, and 30+ locations along the East Coast, will offer its "Blue Plate/Red Plate" specials from October 24-November 5. The price is $25.95 for either entrée.
The two dishes pay tribute to the home and adopted states of both candidates, with a Hawaiian mahi-mahi for President Obama and the Massachusetts culinary staple, cod, for Governor Romney.
The "Blue Plate" meal includes roasted brussel sprouts in a lime butter sauce to complement the fish. The "Red Plate" also features steamed spaghetti squash.
