George Martin 1989: Now Open in Syosset!

After launching a string of successful restaurants on Long Island, the masterminds behind the George Martin Restaurant Group have welcomed a new member to their family.

George Martin 1989, a steakhouse-inspired American bistro, opened in early March and is the newest concept of the well-established group. Wondering where the 1989 came from? It was the year George Martin the Original opened! For years, restaurant owner, George Korten, wanted to open a restaurant similar to the George Martin The Original concept, but it was all a matter of time and finding the right establishment. With over 20 years of experience, Executive Chef Chris Holt is at the helm of the new steakhouse. The menu is a nice combination of George Martin favorites and high-end, steakhouse cuisine. Top choices include: the Korean BBQ duck tacos with kimchi slaw, cilantro and lime on soft corn tortillas; Jericho apple cider and brie capped breast of chicken with cranberry and pecan rice, and toasted broccoli, and the George Martin Club Steak, a 20-ounce, dry-aged, bone-in certified Angus Beef NY Strip. George Martin 1989 is open daily at 5 p.m.
