Osteria Salina Serves Specials For Fall

Osteria Salina serves specials for every night opened.

On Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m., diners may enjoy a three-course prix fixe for $27 including many a la carte menu items from Tortino di Granchio and Fritto Misto to Pesce del Giorgno and Bistecca alla Griglia. Pasta e Ensalata is also offered for $19. On Wednesdays, Lobster Fra Diavolo is available for $21. Farsumagru, stuffed braciolone, is served with cacciocavallo, speck, ground beef, eggs and peas in natural gravy for $21 on Thursdays.

Beginning at 9 p.m. every night, the Stuzzicchini or late night menu is available. It includes Sicilian classics like Polpette, Salina meatballs, pomodoro sauce and pecorino Sicilian as well as Fritto Misto, shrimp and squid with zucchini capers, lemons and arrabiata sauce. Charcuterie di Formaggio & Salumi is also offered with an assortment of imported cheeses, cured meats, imported olives and orange blossom honey and fig marmelata. Tortino di Granchio, jumbo lump crab cake with saffron citrus aioli and Timballo di Tonno, yellowfin tuna with peperoncino oil, cucumber and avocado are welcomed by seafood lovers. Other menu items include Arancini, saffron rice and mozzarella with pecorino and veal sugo-peas; Melanzane Parmigiana, Sicilian eggplant with Parmigiana and pomodoro sauce; and Mozzarella & Pomodoro with vine ripened tomatoes, red onion and Sicilian olive oil.

On Friday and Saturday, lunch is available from 12 to 3:30 p.m. The menu includes Cozze al Pomodoro Fresco with mussels, herbs, garlic, vino bianco and fresh tomatos, Insalata di Timoteo with endive, radicchio, arugula, cherry tomato and Gorgonzola, Penne con Zucchini e Mentuccia with garlic Vidalia onion and fresh mint and Scottish Salmon con Couscous with saffron couscous, pine nuts, raisins and orange zest along with additional dishes.

Brunch is served Sunday from 12 to 3:30 p.m. Items include Poached Eggs Bernedetto with toasted English muffin, ham and Hollandaise, Wild Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes with warm maple syrup and other breakfast dishes as well as lunch options including Hamburger Salina with choice of Gorgonzola, American cheese, sauteed onions and mushrooms and Insalata Salina with Balsam Farm lettuces, ricotta salata, radishes, cucumber and tomatoes.

Osteria Salina is opened Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5 to 11 p.m. for dinner as well as Sunday from 12 to 3:30 p.m. for brunch and 5 to 10 p.m. for Sunday Supper.
