Roots Bistro Gourmand Presents A French-Inspired Tasting Menu
Roots Bistro Gourmand presents a six-course tasting menu inspired by French cuisine on Tuesday, September 25 at 6 p.m.
Each course will be specially paired with six different wines selected from various regions in France. The cost is $90 per person plus tax and gratuity and the entire table must participate. Menu is as follows:
Sautéed frog legs with parsley, lemon and coconut soup
Felines Jordan Picpoul de Pinet 2011 Languedoc, France
Pressed pork belly confit with shallot mousseline, roasted peaches and heart of palm
Domaine Naudin Varrault Chardonnay 2010 Macon Villages, France
Seared scallop and escargot with artichoke puree, heirloom tomato and polenta garlic confit sauce
Domaine de la Chaise Sauvignon Blanc 2011 Touraine, France
Roasted monkfish with red wine, pearl red onions, carrots and celery root mousse
Domaine Galevan Grenache Blend 2010 Cotes du Rhone, France
Pan seared bacon wrapped rabbit with butternut squash puree, garlic confit, broccoli rabe and rosemary jus
Chateau Bujeau la Grave Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2008 Bordeaux
Apple and Pear Tart Tartin with maple walnut ice cream
